Massimo De Marchi, PhD, Professor of Environmental Assessment and Ecology and environmental legislation, researcher at the Department of Civil Environmental and Architectural Engineering. It deals with participatory processes and management of environmental conflicts in complex territories with high biological and cultural diversity, territorial and environmental policies, sustainable local development, tourism and regional sustainability. He worked as a researcher and consultant in Italy, in Europe, Africa, Latin America and Canada. Passionate about the Amazon since 1988. Daniel Codato. PhD in human and physical geography and physics with the research project on territorial planning and ecosystem services in Perú Amazon (Cuenca del Río Mayo en la Region of San Martin)" Before the doctoral research in Peru, he has had different experiences in Latin America, starting with Ecuador in 2008 during the master's degree thesis in Science of Nature, where he collaborated with an NGO in the Ecuadorian Amazon working on the issues of sustainable development in an indigenous community and then in Peru with the national civil service abroad, where he worked on environmental issues, particularly social-environmental conflicts in the Peruvian Amazon through the work of community participatory mapping.

Alberto Diantini. High school science teacher and nature guide at the Botanical Garden of Padua. The research project of the thesis in Science of Nature has seen the development of specific guidelines for identification, assessment and mitigation of the environmental impacts associated with onshore oil extraction in Italian high biodiversity areas, with particular reference to the Concession "Val d'Agri", in Basilicata, the biggest onshore oil field in Europe.

Francesco Ferrarese has a degree in Geography at Padua University where he works as GIS expert (Geographic Information System) from the year 2000. He was the GIS and data elaboration expert in more than 20 research projects for Padua University Departments. He is interested in Geomorphology, Remote Sensing, Geomorphometry, Karst Morphology, Geoarchaeology,  GIS Analysis, Mapping.

Marta Guatelli, Master’s degree in Local Development, interested in finding sustainable life styles, both from an environmental and a human relations perspective, she graduated with a thesis about Eco-villages in the Tuscan Emilian Apennines. She has always worked in the world of education and social jobs, now she deals with job placement and disadvantaged people. She collaborates with an organic agriculture farm, where she realized environmental education activities for youth and children. Involved with environment, bicycle, and travels in the Balkans, she took part to cooperation projects with local communities in the North and in the Middle of Albania.

Luisa Guido. Nature and natural fenomena have always aroused her interest, expecially the study of the different ways that various people find to outlive in different environments: she tackles it reading, studing and travelling. She studied Natural Science, with a graduation thesis in “Ecosystem services of river systems and Environmental Impact Assessment. Application for small hydropower in Trentino” (Northern Italy). She did a year of national community service by the Environmental Agency of the Province of Trento, in the branch environmental education.

Eugenio Salvatore Pappalardo. PhD in human and physical geography, specialized in GIS and biodiversity conservation, deals with spatial analysis through GIS application and geo-information, Land Use Land Cover Change (LULC), biodiversity conservation and participatory management, environmental conflicts around oil activities in the context Amazon (Ecuador). Currently postdoctoral research fellow at Department of Historical and Geographic Sciences and the Ancient World. Naturalista que observa el mundo con ojos de un geografo. Monica Ruffato, Educator and anthropologist, professor of participatory methods and management of environmental conflicts at the Master of Science in Engineering, University of Trento. She began to deal with intercultural and recognition of collective identities in 1996 in Chiapas, in the Selva Lacandona, among the descendants of the Maya. She is interested in "Gypsy question" with the Roma people in Italy and Colombia. Passionate about cultures of childhood and participatory processes, look to children as a social phenomenon.
