Reseach areas:

The main issues addressed and developed are the following:

1. Product innovation and process innovation in the building sector;
2. The quality control of building products and their integrated set in the building;
3. Information in the building sector.

The group is particularly active in the field of study of innovative casings both in the from scratch design and in the recovery of existing buildings.
It mainly deals with the integration of façade and/or roofing systems including photovoltaic systems/panels and innovative shielding systems.
A patent application was filed on "Modular Shielding Apparatus for Building Facade" (Application number: 102019000007191- Date of presentation: 05/24/2019).
From 2013 to 2017, the members of the group participated as experts in the activities of the IEA-SHC Task 51 Solar Energy in Urban Planning (http: // task51.iea-shc.org).
Currently they participate in the activities of IEA-SHC Task 63: Solar Neighborhood Planning scheduled for the period from 2019 to 2023.
