  Curriculum Vitae

Mariano Angelo Zanini is Assistant Professor of Seismic Risk Analysis for the Civil Engineering M.S. degree and Industrial Safety Engineering M.S. degree at the University of Padova. His main areas of research interest are reliability, safety, durability and resilience of bridges and reinforced concrete structures, Bridge Management Systems, seismic risk assessment and emergency management, lifelines and network analysis, concrete materials.
He is author of more than 150 scientific papers, of which 50 are in international, peer-reviewed journals. He is Member of the EUROSTRUCT Association – The European Association on Quality Control of Bridges and Structures resulting from the COST TU1406 funded by the EU Framework Programme Horizon 2020. Zanini is also Member of the Professional Society of Civil and Environmental Engineers in Padova, Italy.

  Research activity

Main research topics are linked to seismic risk analysis of newly designed structures, and the structural safety assessment and retrofitting of existing buildings and bridges.
