Study visit by 24 students of ENSTP from Cameroon

The Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering in the framework of cooperation with the Advanced School of Public Works of Yaoundé aims to encourage international mobility of ENSTP Cameroonian students in Padua  by organizing an annual training event on a particular topic of technical-scientific and professional interest.
After the first study trip organized on the topic of solar photovoltaics, this year's two week stay has as its object the formation of international Auditor on ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, skills currently required by the Cameroon Government to promote the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the country. Infact the Cameroonian economy is growing and opening up to international market needs to meet international standards on quality management and the environment.
The training provided in Padua in concert between the Department and CESQA ICEA (Environmental Quality Study Center) of the Department of Industrial Engineering, will therefore enable 24 Cameroonian students to acquire skills in the field of company certification.
The sensitivity to quality management and compliance with environmental standards in the production process as a tool for growth and competitiveness of Cameroonian companies is a strategic objective of the Cameroon government and supported by the European Union's policy. In this context, the University of Padova is going to be the main institution cooperating in the training field.
The Cameroonian professionals, so trained, will promote those skills in the companies that decide to adopt such measures and encouraging others to do the same, thus creating a virtuous cycle for integration of these measures in the various production systems.
